Our main website is about Embroidery Methods. You can find information for creating all kinds of needlework: cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, blackwork, hardanger, Swedish huck weaving, and more. In the past, we have sold embroidered huck towels and towel kits. Look for ALC Original Embroidery Designs to make some yourself!

The comlementary website is Yarn Methods which focuses on yarn fibers, spinning, weaving, crocheting, and knitting.

Another fun new site is Sage Urban Homesteading where you can learn about traditional home skills such as gardening, food preservation, and basket making.

Our most popular website explains how to Visit Gettysburg. We are located just south of this historic Civil War town and enjoy taking daytrips there to explore history, the arts, and our cultural heritage. This website has been linked to by the Washington Post and is used by several schools across the United States.

Handmade Items: Can you find the butterfly?

Look for the little butterfly to know it's an ALC Original! The butterfly from our logo appears on all handmade items we produce. It may look a little different in dye on an eggshell, in paint on a pot, or on thread on a towel, but take a look. If you have an ALC Original, there's a little butterfly on it somewhere!
